word. senior awards night and shit.
May. 30th, 2006 11:23 pmYesterday I had like food poisoning or something, but I made it through work and then slept the rest of the day. I feel like I did something at night but I don't remember what.
Today I had marching rehearsal at 9 AM. We were done by about 10:30. Aisyah and I went to the mall, got Sarku, did some shopping, and I brought her home to Assonet. Came home and did stupid shit on the internet, and then went to senior awards night. I won the $500 Aquidneck Horsemen's Association scholarship (out of all of MA and RI!), the $500 Lloyd F. Dudley Memorial, the $300 Lakeville Lions Club scholarship, and a $1000 scholarship from Ballou trust. I also got $50 and a plaque for being in drama club. So that's a bit less I'll have to pay BU, which is sweet.
Going back to "normal" life is weird...
Also, what I thought was a weird coincidence (because I get all excited about this shit)- I found this guy Matt on myspace. I've met him and his wife at a couple shows before. I added him, he left me a comment, and I went to reply and noticed he had Rob's friend Jen in his top 8. I was like "Small world," and he was like, "Wanna make it smaller? She's also my wife's cousin." Mind you, I know this guy through dudes from New Jersey, which makes it even weirder that we know the same people from totally unrelated circles. Anyway I just thought that was funny, I love stuff like that.
