URGH!

One of my professors is a hippie from Hawaii, and the way he pronounces certain words annoys the SHIT out of me. Instead of saying "excerpt," he says "egg-zurpt." Instead of saying "thesis," he says, "theeee-zziss," and instead of saying "etcetera," he says "egg-sedra." And he says each of these words at least time 8 times each per class. Oh, I had a teacher last year who said literally. all. the. time. We seriously sat in class one day and counted how many times he said it. In a 10 min. time span it amounted to like 15...I'm not even kidding. And it's never a word that replaces literally, it's always literally...ahhhh.
